Michael Brooks
Mike Brooks is a NAUI Instructor (Inst # 65750), AAUS Scientific Diving Instructor (Inst # 29672), and Divers Alert Network Instructor (Inst # 78132). He is also an Emergency Medical Technician in the State of Florida and Dive Medical Technician with the National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology.
Mike has been diving since 1996, and through those years he has dove recreationally and professionally, continually expanding his knowledge and skills with specialty, continuing education, and technical diving courses. He served for 8 years in the U.S. Army as a Tactical Radio Operator as well as served in the U.S. Navy for 4 years as a Submarine Communications Electronics Maintenance Technician and a boat diver aboard the USS Georgia (SSGN 729). He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Management, and works as a Public Safety Operations Coordinator and in Emergency Management.
Mike has worked with SCUBAnauts International, a youth scientific diving organization, since 2020 as the Assistant Dive Safety Officer as well as the Tarpon Springs Chapter Dive Safety Officer. The mission of SCUBAnauts International is to educate teens in the marine sciences, enabling them to make a positive impact on the environment and empowering them to become tomorrow’s leaders.
